I'm a fellow Floridian, Uof F. I'm currently building a 3D dual camera, (35mm), for an IMAX shoot I was working on last summer. I saw the rig they were using, Marty Muellers camera and it was huge for what they were trying to use it for...in the surf. I suggested I build a rig.....I'm completely into it now and was looking for more info on the interocular distances.....currently I'm at 2.5 inches but I need a bit more space so the lenses don't hit....Question: in your opinion what is the most acceptable interocular distance on a dual 35mm camera set up. I know you are into the digital world but was wondering if you had info in the "old school" world of dual interlocked 35mm cameras...I'm in Agoura Hills Ca. Looking forward to hearing from you.
